Hello Aleš!

I’m sending you feedback on the 60-day breathing program and why I signed up.

I signed up because I was diagnosed with asthma six months beforehand. I’ve been suffering from unusual respiratory problems for about a year, which began randomly. As it gradually worsened, I suffered from the symptoms at work more commonly than at home. The pain in my chest and the inability to take a full breath triggered further anxiety and panic. I “failed” the asthma test very quickly.

Since I left work, the asthma attacks dropped by approx. 70%, but still presented themselves when I was under too much pressure. Whenever I felt like I couldn’t make it. It became clear to me that I have to solve this problem another way. I used the asthma pump I got for about 14 days, and there were no changes, so I stopped using it. It also wasn’t a long-term solution for me.

In the program, I had big problems with breathing at the beginning. Module 1 didn’t cause me any problems, but all the other modules did. The respiratory bend was extremely difficult for me, especially the part where we returned to our original position. I could never get into a standing position if I didn’t take at least five breaths (there was also a feeling of anxiety). Today I come to an upright position more slowly in about 2-3 breaths (without anxiety). When I stopped breathing, I panicked several times initially, and I couldn’t stand longer interruptions. Now I often manage to withstand longer interruptions and am quite relaxed, without panic, or anxiety.

Nowadays, I can relax better and not overdo the exercise, which I did a lot in the beginning. I only go so much that it’s not too demanding and not too little; I don’t panic either. I did the modules in the end just fine; even the forward bend and half-moon became easier. I still have problems relaxing my back when performing the half-moon because my neck hurts every time I do the exercise. I also noticed a big difference in better relaxation of the abdominal muscles. At the beginning of the program, I had difficulty getting into the half-moon because it “tightened” me in the front part of the body. Now it’s much easier.

If I think about it, the asthma attacks after two weeks of the program, and during that time, I no longer had a problem with taking a full breath (sometimes I stopped right at the end, feeling like I couldn’t “get over” something to inhale fully).

Overall, great stuff!

Thank you!
