AEQ EDUCATION

AEQ education is intended to develop ways of thinking that enable a proper understanding of the connection and interdependence of mind and body, and thus the successful solution of chronic physical and mental problems - first in yourself and then through therapies and work with others.

What knowledge will you gain and learn:

Future teachers of the AEQ method will gain an increasingly comprehensive and widely applicable perception of these principles of human functioning through the AEQ education stages. They will be able to eliminate unnecessary muscle tension in the body. He will better understand that the mind works according to the principles of quantum physics and the body works according to Newton’s physics laws, and mutual communication between them is made possible by feelings and emotions that lie between pain and pleasure.

Sadly, the impotence and role of chronic muscle tensions on the whole operation are greatly underestimated and poorly understood in the vast majority of approaches currently used to reduce pain and increase the quality of life.

Life events, especially those in our childhood, create the conditions for the appearance of these chronic tensions that enslave us, limit our mobility, and lower our efficiency and the ability to feel ourselves.

These tensions hold the body in captivity; they mold it, separate it, and distort the operation of the whole. That’s why they have to be eliminated if the person wishes to achieve inner freedom. Without correcting these conditions, which is the main mission of a teacher of the AEQ method, inner freedom is impossible to achieve and leads to an illusion that we think, feel and act with free will.

Education of the AEQ method

Education future AEQ teachers differ significantly from the training methods of other similar methods. The future AEQ teacher progresses through the levels of education only in accordance with the increased sensitivity and skill of recognizing the condition in one’s membrane and the ability to describe this condition in words.

Regular education and practice greatly increase one’s movement and the disorder within you and constantly develops new thought models. At the same time, it decreases the information vacuum. Horizontal and vertical connectivity is very important for an AEQ teacher because only this way can he feel, observe, imitate, and describe his clients’ condition, posture, and well-being. He must know, feels, understands, and can change his soma to actually observe, understand, and teach the client how to reduce entropy and eliminate pain.

Through better self-awareness, the teacher also gains more self-confidence and pays better attention to the client. This is necessary for both individual therapies and group workshops. This ensures a proper relationship with the customer and prevents her from wondering if she got her money’s worth. So if this relationship is equal, syntropy and mutual personal satisfaction are guaranteed.

The teacher will learn all the things mentioned above in our workshops, where we teach the method’s basics. Learning the appropriate attitude and feeling goes hand in hand with learning how to lengthen muscles and eliminate disorder when moving. We learn to recognize sensory-motor amnesia, teach them about pandiculation, somatic reflexes, and AEQ exercises.

Seminar for the future teachers of the AEQ Method® Level 1 is designed to provide the participants with a thorough knowledge of the AEQ Method®. The prospective teacher will be given sufficient understanding of the basic foundations of the method and will learn how to develop clear communication within himself as well as between himself and a client. He will engage in explaining the causes of current feeling, upgrading and learning more new exercises and their suitability for a particular problem.

Knowledge gained in the seminar is apt and essential for a good quality teaching of the clients with chronic pain and movement limitations. It provides better rehabilitation after injuries and elimination of constant muscular contractions and chronic pain. We learn to direct the attention properly to detect possible confusions in communication with a client. Thus, the teacher will deal more effectively with the ineffectiveness of a client’s movements. Knowledge reduces guessing in decision-making, how to proceed, minimizes the possibility of repetition of injuries and the time spent on correction exercises.

An essential part of learning the AEQ Method® is understanding the somatic philosophy, which allows a different view of the causes of the problems. Knowledge gained in the seminar is sufficient to acquire experience and ability to conduct 3- to 4-hour workshops for a group of ten people.

Demand for this type of learning is increasing in all age groups and occupations. In seven days we will work on ourselves and co-participants of the seminar. This way, you will be able to dive properly into the depths of the AEQ Method® and begin to influence the quality of your life, and later use the knowledge on clients. After completing the seminar, you will receive the AEQ Method® Level 1 Teacher Certificate.

In a half a year, of practical work on yourself, of curiosity and teaching others, and studying audio recordings and workbook from AEQ level 1 seminar, you will get enough knowledge and experience for your changes, and this will be a good starting point to enrol in a seminar of the AEQ Method® Level 2. The option of enrollment will have Level 1 teachers, who will show knowledge and interest in learning and the appropriate breadth of expertise of the AEQ Method®.

Seminar of the AEQ Method® Level 2 requires a much better horizontal and vertical connection than it is necessary at the seminar of the AEQ Method® Level 1. The ability to feel, control and the clarity of communication are fundamental criteria for continuing education in AEQ method®.

The AEQ Method® Level 2 Teacher’s Seminar leads to deepening the knowledge about the emotional causes of the SMA and the principles of the AEQ Method®. It introduces the understanding and importance of the membrane and the impact of emotions on functioning and feeling of soma. You will add new exercises to improve conditions such as frozen shoulder, scoliosis, and repeated sports injuries to your knowledge and skill base. The seminar also includes learning how to be actively helpful as a teacher when your clients learn to perform the exercises more correctly by applying palm pressures on certain parts of the body, which increases their sensory perception and awareness.

The knowledge you receive in 7- day seminar provides quality assistance for the Level 2 teacher when dealing with more severe forms of somatic problems. Among others, it can heal or alleviate severe pain in the back, neck, knees and joints, sciatica, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel pain, heel pain, hyperlordosis, hyperkyphosis, piriformis syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, frozen shoulder, headache, shallow breathing, migraine, tendonitis, muscle spasms, chronic fatigue, tingling in hands and fingers, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, and Achilles tendon.

The acquired knowledge at the Level 2 will provide you with quality attentiveness, which is necessary for the fair and proper independent management of the 4-6 hour AEQ Method® workshops with up to 10 participants, and up to 15 participants with the assistance of Level 1 or Level 2 assistant teachers.

A Level 2 License is a prerequisite for continuing advanced-level AEQ Method® education that enables clinical work with clients, active individual therapy, and acquiring the title teacher of the AEQ Method® Level 3.

The condition for further education of teachers at the intermediate level of the AEQ Method® is successful perception and practical application of the knowledge of the previous elementary levels of the AEQ method, and fulfilment of the prerequisites for entering the educational process at the intermediate level.

The basic level explores the relationships and understanding of the meaning of the mind and the body and communication between them. The future Level 3 teachers can deepen their knowledge only by practical work, by exercising and understanding the principles they do themselves and teach others, of course, with the theoretical explanation. The theoretical explanation must be thoughtful and clear because a person can correctly perform and understand individual moves and set of movements that comprise each of the exercises only by understanding the method and its principles. This illustrates the development of soma, which works well only when communication between the mind and the muscles is without or with mild SMA. A teacher who understands the meaning of soma also transfers this understanding to clients.

The basic level of education enables understanding of the physical condition, the influence of self-awareness, expression and self-control, which all determine a person’s character that also encompasses welfare and characteristics of soma. The student becomes aware of the importance of a clear connection between membrane and consciousness and realizes the function of pleasure and pain.

Intermediate-level education builds on the understanding of these links through a more advanced interpretation of physical and biological laws and anatomy of bones, muscles and myofascia. An essential part of learning at this level is to improve the ability to observe a client’s body posture, his/her appearance and personal approach. The Teacher determines which parts of a client membrane are in a chronic spasm and where the control over the membrane was lost.

The Level 3 teacher is skilled to connect well enough, by observing, palpating and listening, what he senses and sees with what he hears or recognizes from the personal testimony of a client at the individual treatment, and then gradually, through discussion and practical work, presents his understanding of a client’s condition and reasons for client’s problems.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Aleš Ernst, teacher of the AEQ method, level 5 I was born on 3 October 1971. I live in Brežice with my partner and two children. I am a sole trader and have owned a bicycle shop since 1993. I am also a clinical somatics therapist. In my youth, I had considerable difficulties with stability and flexibility during physical education. I only learned to drive a bicycle when I turned 15 but soon started to cycle more and more. During all this time, I also fixed bicycles. I developed what started as a bicycle repair shop into one of the most recognizable bicycle shops in my region and also in Croatia. I cycled, ran, swam and lifted weights. Then, pain started occurring in my left hip and became unbearable. It is worth mentioning here that I had shorter right leg. As a result, the right side of my body was not as developed as the left. Due to increasing pain, I stopped cycling and focused on lifting weights and kettlebells. I acquired all the relevant certificates and taught my clients how to move their bodies under physical strain. The stretching exercises did not change my flexibility. Not only that, my pain worsened and the time invested in them failed to achieve desired results. I sought medical advice but the explanation of causes of unbearable pain and the solutions to them did not convince me. Physical therapy, muscle strengthening, exercises with elastics, massages, chiropractic did not help me. I got used to life with pain. It was only later, when I started to research possible causes in depth, that I discovered Hanna Somatics. After reading Martha Peterson’s book and corresponding with her, I find out what was the real cause of my shorter right leg. Even only after a few days of carrying out the basic exercises, I noticed an unbelievable improvement. So, I wanted more. I started learning Clinical Somatics from Martha Peterson. I teach my clients with therapy and exercises, I could also help them with conversation and advice. Without these insights my work would not be as successful. Especially because the world changed since Thomas Hanna first developed this method 50 years ago. People have a more difficult task at hand now as it is not easy to maintain conscious control over ourselves in modern times. I had an opportunity to observe the effects of the clinical somatic movements on the neuro-muscular system at my years-long work with my clients. Active therapies with somatic movements resulted in significant changes and improvement of life for many of my clients, but unfortunately, the beneficial effects to often lasted only few months. They eventually returned to the previous condition and they performed the exercises only occasionally, when the pain became too disturbing. I’ve been studying various fields of physics and human motion and I was progressively realizing that life significantly changed in the past few decades; it has become much faster and hence a person’s ability to concentrate and adapt decreased too due to the technology. We need a lot of energy for that kind of life and help of devices and appliances that do the work instead of us save us time. While we need to assess our use of time rationally if we want to survive in modern word, we don’t do the same when it comes to the use of our energy. Our body was developing throughout the evolution and the struggle for survival in the conditions of the food shortage and fight for the energy. Time was not essential, however, today we live like we’ve always driven on the fast highways, which enables us to save time, but at the same time also greater consumption of the fuels (energy) and deterioration. Also, the adaptability as the field of manipulation decreases when something unpredictable happens.

When a person has to exit the highway and drive steadily and slowly on a dirt road he is confused and insecure.

Almost stressed out, even though we’ve survived millions of years

and have even developed in maladjusted hostile environment..

I’m realizing the speed, pace of life is killing us – literally or indirectly – it makes us tense, stiff and inflexible. So the pain occurs, which warns us about the inefficacy and the entropy.

A better solution means to do more, or at least the same amount with less effort (energy).

In other words: think twice, do once.

Like turning from the highway to the driving skills polygon.

The next step is to schedule a call with Aleš Ernst, the founder of the method, where you will learn how the education can help you in your life and career path and determine what’s next for you.

No additional knowledge is required if you wish to enter. What is needed, however, is a clear motive as to why would you like to become a teacher of the AEQ method and a willingness to recognize one’s subconscious patterns and conditional responses and, through the process of one’s transformation, gain the ability and right to help others in similar difficulties.

Everyone who wishes to first help themselves out of sensory-motor amnesia and chronic pain and illness, and then wishes to help others.
After completing the first stage of the education program, you will receive a certificate that will allow you to perform AEQ therapies on your clients. After completing the third stage, you will receive a certificate for performing active therapies with your clients.
